Geometry & Shapes
“Inspiration is needed in geometry, just as much as in poetry.” - Alexander Pushkin
Strong shapes and forms are both easy and hard to capture in a photo. Easy because such photos are rarely technically difficult: you usually don’t need the sense of timing that is critical to street photography or the interaction with another person that makes or breaks a portrait. But they are hard because the subjects are not as obvious to the photographer as, say, a landscape or a person. With my camera in my hands, I see shapes and forms that otherwise pass me by. There is something particularly satisfying about creating a strong, compelling image from the mundane.
